Thanks for visiting! Alyssa asks:”Regina, It is my turn to ask the questions. Considering I have been having to face my fears lately. “What is your biggest fear?”
Alyssa,
Had you asked me that question last year, I would probably have a list too big for this page, LOL! It’s amazing what time, faith and growth can do.
I truly believe that faith and fear cannot co-exist in the same body. It’s taken me several years to learn that, of course it was something I would say all the time, but it had to get on the “inside of me” in order for it to manifest as a truth.
Because the scripture says, “God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and a sound mind,” I receive it 100%. This is not to say that everything is peaches and cream because it’s far from that BUT I know that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me therefore, I continue to “press” towards the mark honey! LOL!
Doubly serious, I work very hard to ensure things don’t bother me or should I say, “worry” me like they use to.
I remember talking to a friend a few years ago discussing a huge purchase that I was doubtful about. I remember saying to him, I just can’t afford that right now! I just kept going back and forth with it because I was so out of control with my decisions! He then said to me, take the word “can’t” out of your vocabulary if you will and say, “I choose to make a wisdom choice, I’ll decline at this time.”
I love it! Because for me, that works. I choose not to do and be all and everything to everybody. When I feel “fear” trying to take root, I examine the cause and make a wisdom choice.
To sum it up, “fear just ain’t welcome here!”
Blessings,

[...] In 2006 is when I left that network marketing company. There were things that happened that I chose not to be a part of. When I walked away from that company, I was actually the first African American female (in that company) to achieve the “Gold Executive” pin level. These positions had to cycle 10 complete times to qualify at this level (each cycle represents $1k). I was on the National Training Circuit and traveled quite a bit. It was truly a wonderful experience. To make what could be a very long story short, this was definitely a period in my life when I had to make what I call a “wisdom choice.” [...]
