No Follow Tags October 30th, 2007

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. AND while you're here, Want to know my #1 source of FREE traffic? It's not the Search Engines. Click here now to find out... Thanks for visiting!

I guess you’re wondering, “what is a no follow tag?” Good, I’ll explain.

Since you’re online now, you’re probably seeing a lot of talk about blogging and why more and more Internet Marketers and Website Owners are using blogs to display their information opposed to normal html website coding.

I can tell you off the top of my head a couple of good reasons why.

1. Blogs are easier to create opposed to knowing a lot of html design and coding.
2. Search engines LOVE blogs (content)

Why do search engines love blogs? I don’t know and really it doesn’t matter so much as to why, the fact is that they do! Since we’re in business and our goal is to bring (targetted) traffic to our business, wouldn’t we want to do what works? Wouldn’t we want to duplicate a system that works?

Yeah, I thought you would say “YES!”

So, let’s get to just one of the many options that you want to add to your blog and that is a “DO Follow Tag” opposed to the no follow tag.

The NoFollow link attribute (rel=”nofollow”) was originally created to block search engines from following links in blog comments, due to the amount of blog comment spamming.

The theory is that if spammers are spamming in blog comments to get better SEO and anchored links for their sites, NoFollow would render such spam useless. Problem is, spammers still spam. Here are 13 reasons why NoFollow is a failure: [read more here]

At Business by Grace, we WANT your comments, we want to help you get good back links from search engines, therefore we, like many other great blogs/websites ACCEPT your links!

WE DO FOLLOW!

I agree, blogging on other blogs is very important. No matter how hard you try to keep spammers out they often find a way in. If you monitor your blog like you should,( because you should be bloggin often anyway to see better results) you can keep a better handle on the spammers.
